How To Buy New UK Cars 25% Cheaper.

Today is the last day of the government car scrappage scheme and in comes a new era for cheaper new cars which hopefully should reactivate the whole market.
New European legislation called the EU Motor Vehicle Block Exemption Regulations (MVBER) which covers the agreements concerning the distribution and servicing of motor vehicles and  provides an exemption from competition for the distribution of new cars and their servicing, comes into force on April 1st

The Goodwood Moving Motor Show.

This weekend Lord March, the owner of the Goodwood race track, officially announced the Goodwood Moving Motor Show.
It’s a good title but what is it?
In a nutshell it’s a full motor show, just as in “the olden days” when you could go to a motor show and actually sit in new cars and inspect them, at an affordable price.

Average Car Insurance Premium Now Over £1000

Gone are the days of cheap car insurance. The AA (Automobile Association) reports that fully comprehensive car insurance on average in the UK has now passed the £1000 mark.
In the last quarter of 2009 alone average premiums rose by 7.2% making a total annual increase of 18%.

Bahrain GP Most Exciting of 2010 Season?

Don’t moan too much, the Bahrain GP could turn out to be the most exciting of the F1 season.
Chat on pit-car radio during the race has been very revealing as to what we can expect from future races under present regulations.
First revealing factor was the car’s weight, because of this early lap times were averaging 5 seconds slower than qualifying times, the extra fuel to last the race was equal to having a heavy second person in the car.
