With an official opening date of 28th. October this year, Ferrari World, the Ferrari Theme Park in Abu Dhabi can claim to be the largest indoor theme park in the world.
Situated next to the Abu Dhabi GP race track in Yas Marina Ferrari World is housed under a triangular roof in the traditional red of the Ferrari colours.
The official details of the rides, only released today, include a 149mph roller coaster called the Formula Rossa, plus a vertical tower ride that will accelerate with G force speed up to 62 metres the drop back down to decelerate, again with –G force.
All the rides and experiences are named after Ferrari connections on a 200,000 sq metre area which includes a racing simulator similar to those used by race drivers, an interactive theatre named The Pit Wall allowing guests to test themselves in racing situations, and much, much more.
Also included are themed restaurants and cafes serving Italian food and other themed shops located in unique positions throughout the area.
Nothing against Abu Dhabi but why on earth is this Ferrari World theme park not located in Italy to make it closer to its home and European market?
