The Nissan Juke, Is UGLY Now IN?

It seems that since Nissan launched their Nissan Juke this week there’s more talk of how this vehicle looks than how it performs.
Nissan have taken a very bold step her in subtly asking the question, would you drive an ugly vehicle?
The Japanese car maker are hoping motorists will look past its exterior and view this crossover for what it is, an affordable (aka cheapish), small vehicle which can just as easily be used on city streets by young urbanites in addition to grown-ups in rural areas.

Gloomy Insurance News For Young (and older) Drivers

A report by the UK Automobile Association (AA) due out this week is expected to reveal that young drivers car insurance has increased by 14% in the last 3 months  of 2009 alone.
It’s not only young drivers who are getting hit in the their wallet, the parents of young drivers who are in the age bracket 40-49  years who decide to add their children onto their car policies have also been knocked with a 11% increase over the same period.

Toyota Lead The Way With “Swappage”

Next month, February, the UK government’s scrappage scheme for cars will come to an end, the pot of money to fund this scheme will then be empty.
Japanese car maker Toyota seem to have stolen a march on all their rivals by announcing their own follow-up “swappage” scheme to tempt punters to opt for either their Yaris, Auris or Avensis models.

Safer Winter Driving

Here in the south of the UK we had our first taste of winter snow yesterday so perhaps it’s a suitable time for some reminders to help make driving safer at this time of year.
