OK you car buffs, who knows what a Wingle, a Florid, a Hover 5, or a Cool Bear are? . Answer – they are Chinese cars which are being imported right now into the UK and should be on sale in early 2011.
A company named the IM Group based in Birmingham will be handling all the importation of these models produced by the Great Wall motor company.
Undoubtedly these Chinese motors, and others following, will be considered value for money and cheaper to buy than say, a Ford or Vauxhall but already questions are arising over quality of build and model impersonation.
With the Chinese home car market 10 times larger than the UK’s at 14 million units p.a., the UK and elsewhere now have to face the reality of Chinese motors on UK roads
