Asda Cuts Fuel Prices

In a surprise move this morning supermarket giant Asda have reduced the price of fuel on their forecourts which motorists hope could lead to a price war.
The announcement there will be a 3ppl cut in both diesel and petrol supplies will result in the motorist paying 103.9ppl and 105.9ppl for petrol and diesel respectively on Asda’s 179 forecourts.
A few weeks ago oil tankers were seen at anchor off the UK coast waiting for further increases to come through in the bulk price of their oil cargo but unexpectedly we now learn the wholesale price of oil has dropped by more than 1ppl in the last 6 weeks.
It could be a Happy Xmas for motorists after all.
