Mercedes’s Magic Sky Control For Folding SLK Roofs

Not to be outdone in the vogue for car folding roofs Mercedes have introduced new technology into folding glass roofed cars.
With folding roofs now regularly featuring glass in even small cars like the Renault Megane CC, Mercedes have had to go one step further.
The Mercedes Magic Sky Control permits the normal glass roof to be darkened in only a few seconds via single switch. Particle technology enables the particles within the glass to be re-positioned in order to allow light to penetrate through to the car.
Mercedes state the technology will contribute towards better fuel consumption and lower CO2 emissions.
With a new SLK model due out next year this new sunroof will be offered as an extra with a price of approximately £2,000.
