Sorry to disappoint you but Ruth is not a desirable female but a robot installed by the Ford motor company.
Apparently Ford of Germany have been using Ruth (Robotized Unit for Tactility and Haptics)  for the last 4 years to improve the quality of car interiors.
So much for, literally, the human touch which can feel the smoothness of a material,  can judge if a switch has the correct resistance and is not too cold or too warm and also the correct  measurement of spacing between switches, according to Ford they place more faith in Ruth’s judgement than that of human's.
Ford can’t even say “judge for yourselves”, as there are no alternatives.
