The car in question is a fantastic one-off Delahaye built in 1949 (pictured), the like of which you won’t see on our roads again; once described as “curvaceous, outlandish and sexy”, just like one of its previous owners, British actress Diana Dors.
Originally costing approx. £6,000 when Diana bought it in the early 1950’s the car is now for auction in California this month for an estimated $4-6 million dollars.
More female motoring news, Sheila’s Wheels the insurance company are reporting that “male road accidents are up in the summer due to women wearing short skirts” (dare I say nothing new there then!), just pay up the extra premium lads.
