Merseyside Could Be Greener With Vauxhall

Adding to the hopes that Britain could be a major hub for green motoring with a better environment due to less carbon gas emissions Vauxhall Motors today indicated it could build their new electric Ampera model there.

Audi’s New R4 e-tron

The first concept  car version of this new Audi R4, a small mid-engined sports car, was seen at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show.
Audi revealed their R4 e-tron smaller version at this month’s Detroit Motor Show with rear wheel drive. In motoring circles it is now accepted Audi are about to produce a production model of this zero emission sports car which could be available for sale by 2013.

Say Hello to Peugeot's new baby,a 4 wheel crossover between a car and a scooter which is just under the size of a Smart car.
For a small electric vehicle it has very good credentials, amongst them are:- it's electric, therefore no gas emissions, measures less than 2.5metres, weighs less than 600kg which  allows it to accelerate to 19mph in 2.8 seconds and from 19mph to 37mph in 4 seconds and has a range of circa 75 miles.

A New Mode of Transport

Those of you who have grown into grey or white haired maturity might recall in your dim and distant past of a mode of transport that never really caught on but now, maybe, could become the next green, environmentally friendly, eco-conscious, low cost method of travel – the electric bicycle.

From both Japan and China new, modern, updated electric bicycles are being introduced and indeed in both these countries have gained a substantial market share.
