In the last quarter of an F1 season no F1 team has any idea how many races remain.
This farcical situation has arisen because the Korean GP, due to take place 14 days after the Japanese GP on this Sunday the 10th., has not yet had the necessary approval from the F1A.
Robert Kubica the Renault driver has raised concern that even if the race is confirmed the newly laid tarmac has never been raced on and nobody can forecast how the surface will react.

Firstly this week we had Ferrari stating they are not going to continue participating in Formula One racing because of new rulings announced by the FIA on the 29th. April. Their main contention with these rulings was that there would be an optional cap in place for all F1 teams next season of £40 million.
Behind this FIA ruling is the idea of giving the smaller and newer racing teams a more even playing field to compete on.
